BEARS... BEARS... and more BEARS!

It really is a BEAR'S world nowadays. Everywhere you turn there's a new offering for our kind and it seems that even the straight world is being affected by this BEAR MANIA. Straight guys everywhere have ditched the metrosexual look for a more rugged, dare I say beardly look. Film makers are winning award after award for documentaries like Bearnation and Bear World. And straight women everywhere have ditched the Will and Grace sensibility of finding the perfect gay husband to becoming "Goldilocks" for a furry best friend.

Recently, I was on a road trip with my Mom. We had quite a drive so the conversation turned deeper than usual. We're close and we generally talk about everything, but this time around she shocked me by asking (in Spanish) "Honey, how long have you been a bear?" I did a double-take and replied, "Mami, how do you know what a bear is?" Her simple answer... "I saw a show on Univision that talked about bears." What? Even the Hispanic airwaves are discussing us. What is going on? 

I would love your insight guys... feel free to help me analyze further.

I am fortunately not a single bear (I happen to be partnered to the hottest little Cuban cub named Steven) but I worry about my ursine brothers who are going “at it” alone. How are we supposed to show up at all the hot summer events by ourselves? RAPID RAPPORT DATING for BEARS

Note: There is a specific reason why everything should be within walking distance and for how the question was framed. I will explain later. Keep reading.

Bottom line, the more experiences you share together, the longer your date will feel that he has known you and the closer he will feel to you. Closeness = Rapport = Dating Success.

Additionally it gives him the feeling that you had a plan, can take control when necessary and no one else does this! If you invite a guy out for a date, he is most likely going to expect you to take the lead. If he is the dominant male, than the roles will most likely shift. However, if you ask somebody out, you better not be the “umm, huh, I don’t know? What do you wanna do?” type or it will be Game Ovah Casanova...
